Behind the app
Built around
a family need.
I built Meds Ahead because my family needed help coordinating medications and refills. Knowing what was due was only part of it. We also needed to know what was running low.

01 / RecordsKeep the changes explainable.
Supply comes from recorded inventory changes and taken doses. Refills, corrections, and dose logs give a count its history, so an estimate has something concrete behind it.
Dose logging uses a shared schedule engine to identify the scheduled dose across screens and avoid counting the same dose twice.
02 / ScanningYou confirm what the camera finds.
Label text and supported barcodes are recognized on the device. You review the extracted details before saving a medication. Recognition is a starting point for entry, not a substitute for checking the label.
03 / PrivacyNo account to create.
Medication records are stored locally. There are no ads or third-party analytics, and scanned images are not retained by the app. Your records can be included in your own device and iCloud backups.
Reminders are scheduled on the phone, with detailed notification text off by default.
