What you need

Lagoon Air needs iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26 or tvOS 26, or later.

Playing with friends

Lagoon Air uses Game Center. You and your friends each need to be signed in to Game Center, and you each need to have the game.

If an invitation doesn’t arrive or a match won’t start, check these on every device:

  1. Game Center. You’re signed in. On iPhone and iPad, Settings, then Game Center. On Mac, System Settings, then Game Center.
  2. iCloud. You’re signed in to iCloud. Game Center invitations can fail without it.
  3. Screen Time. Multiplayer games are allowed. On iPhone and iPad, Settings, then Screen Time, then Content and Privacy Restrictions, then Game Center. On Mac, System Settings, then Screen Time, then Content and Privacy, then Game Center.
  4. The network. Any home Wi-Fi or mobile connection works. Some school and office networks block Game Center. Try a phone hotspot to check.
  5. Both of you have the same version of the game. Update it in the App Store.

You invite friends from Game Center’s own invitation screen. If you want players nearby to show up without typing an email, turn on Nearby Players in Game Center’s settings.

Safety

  • There’s no chat. There’s no text, voice or video, and no free typing. Players are shown as a callsign picked from a fixed list, such as “Puffin 3”. They can rock their wings, turn their smoke on or off and flash their lights.
  • Parents can set how much multiplayer is allowed with Screen Time: everyone, friends only, or off. The game follows what Screen Time says.
  • Only friends can join a match. Lagoon Air matches are by invitation. There’s no matching with strangers.
  • Reporting a player. If a friend behaves badly, report them through Game Center. On iPhone and iPad, open the Games app, tap your picture, then All Friends, tap the player, then More Options, then Report User. On Mac, open the Games app, go to Friends, choose the player and report them there. Apple documents these steps for friends, which is who you can play with.
  • The game collects no data. The privacy policy has the details.

Controls

Lagoon Air plays with:

  • touch on iPhone and iPad
  • a keyboard on Mac and iPad
  • a game controller on every device
  • the Siri Remote on Apple TV

Settings has a Controls screen where you can change the keys and buttons on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Saved progress

Your logbook and best scores are saved on your device. If you’re signed in to iCloud, they’re also saved in your iCloud account, so they can show up on your other devices. Some settings, such as graphics and sound, stay on each device.

To start again, use Reset progress in the game’s Settings. It clears your logbook, best scores and found surprises on the device and in iCloud, and keeps your settings. You cannot undo it.

Speed and heat

If your device gets hot, or the game stutters, open Settings in the game and choose Battery saver under Graphics. Balanced is the default.

Something wrong in the world

Lagoon Air’s airports are based on real ones, and the game gets some details wrong. If you spot a mistake, email it. Include the airport and what you saw.
